Plant & Animal Life
While in plant life a twig collection is due. In plant life you also are promited plant trees.
In animal life you put together an insect collection. A trip is planed
every year to visit a local snake den in animal life.
Plant Life
The course involves the study of the structural and functional relationships of the major taxonomic groups of plants and tree identification. The lab will explore the external and internal structure of plants. Lab work (which is primarily done with the microscope) will compose one- fourth of the grade. Open to 10, 11, 12.
Animal life
The course will encompass creatures made up of one cell and move up to echinoderms. The student will find out what makes up the internal structure of animals. Lab work (which is primarily done with the microscope) will compose one fourth of the grade. Open to 10, 1 1, 12.
